Vancouver Island North Tourism has been established to focus on the promotion of tourism as a region and represents the communities of Alert Bay, Coal Harbour, Holberg, Port Alice, Port Hardy, Port McNeill, Quatsino, Sointula, Telegraph Cove, Winter Harbour and Woss.

Given the geographical distribution of tourism products and communities offering tourism services, promoting Vancouver Island North regionally allows for a coordinated effort, a pooling of resources and a larger impact for marketing programs.

The marketing and business plans for Vancouver Island North Tourism are guided by the Vancouver Island North Tourism Advisory Committee, an advisory committee of the Regional District of Mount Waddington, that is formed by volunteer representation from accommodation operators, tourism businesses, First Nations, municipalities and Regional District areas.
