Each spring, Vancouver Island North Tourism hosts a stakeholder event that offers educational sessions and a chance for local tourism operators to do some pre-season networking. This event is FREE to attend.

1:45 PM Tourism Industry Update: Vancouver Island North Region
Get current during the Vancouver Island North tourism industry update. Learn how the region and the communities are presenting this area as a tourism destination, where the message is being promoted, and how this work is being measured.
2:15 PM North Island Trail Guide – Strategic Natural Resources
Get a tour of the North Island Trail Guide app. This is a brand new, interactive tool has been developed to assist visitors in exploring hiking opportunities and to help with way-finding on the trails. Walk through the app with us and find out how you can use this resource to enhance the experience of your guests.
2:45 PM Networking Break
3 PM Social Media Workshop
Get social and share more of the Vancouver Island North experience. This will be a break-out session with two sessions:
- Group A – Establishing your Social Network
For businesses who are new to social media and looking for tips and tricks to get started
- Group B – Working your Social Network
For businesses who are established on social media and looking for ways to expand their reach

After the formal schedule is wrapped up, we will move to the restaurant or pub to continue casual networking.
